Royal Copenhagen Plates
As more and more chips appear in my standard issue Ikea plates, I am slowly replacing them with proper ones from Royal Copenhagen, the latest batch of which arrived yesterday. I first saw this crockery in CPH itself; one of my best friends lives out there and had a full set on his wedding list. The wedding itself was at Orangeriet restaurant in the city which used a variation of this crockery too - see photo above (incidentally - isn’t that the best-looking wedding meal you’ve ever seen?). It’s decent stuff so it isn’t cheap, and as such I’m slowly building up a full set.
I have never seen their stuff in London, but it can be bought direct online, or from here. Ideally, you should get busy and visit their store in Copenhagen. I am slightly obsessed with Denmark.
I realise I do pretty good PR to the contrary, but I am not gay.

Quite pleased to have spotted this modular furniture by Cubit on the weekend. It’s available in a few different size boxes and features a simple interlocking system so you can create your own stacked combination. The configurator is excellent fun for those who enjoy spatial reasoning and Tetris.

The best thing about it is that it reminds me of Danish brand Montana (which I’ve seen in Copenhagen, not London - see cool green/yellow unit below). Montana have a similar schtick, but being Danish their stuff is prettier, better and of course, more expensive; herein lies my real interest in Cubit.

I’m thinking a big combo would be perfect for all my son’s toys, and perhaps a smaller one in the living room for books and bits. Can someone please sort me out £800 or so? That should cover it.
